In the surroundings of Malang & Batu there are many waterfalls. As many as 27 are visitable, some are easily accessible while others are a little harder too reach. But, certainly there are many more waterfalls which aren't "unearthed" yet. Take some time, travel slowly, get to know Malang, its inhabitants, nature and culture.
Once a slum, now a colorful tourist destination: Jodipan. Jodipan is an area in Malang caught between the railroad, the river Brantas and the main road Jl. Gatot Subroto. All houses are coloured and many houses are ornamented with paintings by artists. It was a student's initiative.
